THE OPEN SEASON

Post Hardcore / Screamo / Surf Rock

Young Adelaide quartet THE OPEN SEASON are a new emotional driven melodic rock band who've impressed many since their inception just over a year ago. They come from a strong hardcore scene which boasts such bands as Day of Contempt, I Killed The Prom Queen, STR and The Hot Lies, all of which influence The Open Season's post-hardcore, emotive rock sound.
THE OPEN SEASON entered Adelaide's Soundhouse Studios in July 2005 to record their debut EP with renown producer Darren Thompson, the EP is due for release on Pee Records in October 2005.
THE OPEN SEASON have already shared the stage with notable Aussie bands such as After The Fall, Mere Theory, Hi End Audio, Stolen Youth, In The Grey, Kisschasy, Forgetting Yesterday and Bullet The Blue Sky.

"THE OPEN SEASON are a young bunch of dudes who play great melodic punk with a bit of emo and all the best bits added in. A promising band such as these kids cannot be taken lightly with their aussie brand of heavy punk rock."

-Inside Metal Zine

"They are doing the current flavoured emo/screamo/punk kinda sound, with one difference, an aussie accent. The opening sounds are promising, a nice fast paced sound good singing and more fast rock than anything.."
