Murdered formed in the early winter of 2004 out of a need for solid, FRESH Metal in the Atlanta Hardcore Scene. After previous bands dissolved, Matt Karoglou (Ex-Style Over Substance) and Dan Ferrell (Ex-Noel, Shut The Fuck Up and Listen) quickly siezed the opportunity to start a band together after meeting at work. At first it was Matt on drums, Dan on guitar, and Justin Smith on second guitar. In time, Dan made the initial switch from guitar to vocals, with Ryan Shea taking the vacant guitar spot. After a revolving door of bass players coming in and out of the band, Barry Henthorn joined to permanantly cover all bass duties. In the spring of 2005 Dan Ferrell left The Murdered to join the United States Armed Forces. The Murdered brought in new frontman Corey Hunter Bledsoe (Ex-Starsfade) into the group for the recording of The Murdered's Debut Album "...and the maggots shall inherit the earth".

Now, as the band completes recording of ...Maggots, Murdered is in the writing stage of the full length album entitled "Locusts Will Come"
