Alternative / Indie / Rock
The Long Tomorrow is a rock band from Atlanta that started in 2005. The band is now reborn as a recording project with new material, fresh passion, and a new artistic direction -- I (Rich) am back writing songs with the occasional help of my friend Tripp.
These days, I'm working on some new songs and playing shows regularly with my other band, Breaking Twilight. I use this page mainly for posting new demos and songs that are works in progress. Our finished songs from our CD can be found on our Myspace page or on iTunes, so check em out there too!
The name The Long Tomorrow comes from a quote by Christian theologian A.W. Tozer and is a reference to the afterlife. It is also mentioned in Randy Alcorn's excellent novel "Safely Home".
Some of the great bands that we draw inspiration from are: Jump Little Children, Copeland, Matthew, Acceptance, Switchfoot, and late era FIF/Brave Saint Saturn.
We recorded an EP in 2006 with producer Steve Cook of Ugg Records. Rich played all of the instrumental parts and Tripp sang the lead vocals. Titled "What I Don't Deserve", it was mixed by Dove Award-winning producer Masaki Liu and mastered by Luke Fellingham of Phatfish. The cover art is by James Lytle. We're so honored to have all of these talented people working with us!
Thanks for listening!
