"thelastplaceyoulook has become that band, the one that rips you out of your confusion and makes you feel like things matter, like you matter, like the music matters. thelastplaceyoulook makes me want to play that music, to burn with that same kind of fire again. And if these guys feel like they're all alone now, I'm predicting they won't be for long." spacecityrock.com

After years of hard work and dedication Houston’s own, thelastplaceyoulook are seeing some serious results. They released 2009’s full length debut See the Light Inside You and then hit the road playing with such bands as Ten Years, Hawthorne Heights, Sevendust, Evan’s Blue and many more. They put out a top notch video for their lead single Don’t Make It So Easy which garnered plays over 75,000 and still counting. Their new single Band To Save Me has been added to regular rotation on Clear Channel’s 94.5 KTBZ The Buzz. This makes them the only unsigned, unmanaged artist in regular rotation on one of the largest rock markets in the US. All this going on and festival bookers have taken notice as they will be opening mainstages for the Houston Press BestFest playing with such acts as The Toadies and Against Me. For a followup they will be the first unsigned act to ever open the mainstage at Buzzfest 27, October 22 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion. Getting to play along with some of the biggest acts in rock including Staind, Bush and many others, will definitely keep the momentum going. All this and they still find time to write and record tracks for new music all the time with several notable producers in the industry. With their fanbase exploding everything is ending up amazing for thelastplaceyoulook.

See the Light Inside You
"A cohesive opus full of fist-pumping anthems, where yearning vocals meet heavy guitar riffs, scale-shredding solos and beat-you-into-the-ground drums, Light leaves no doubt TLPYL can go toe-to-toe with aggro chartbusters like Shinedown or Theory of a Deadman. Listen up." Houston Press
