The Last Broadcast combine the epic guitar panoramas of post-Coldplay Britain with the passion of the American emo set. Tight arrangements and a strong sense of melody make this Michigan 5-piece one to watch out for. Be the first to hear the Last! -download.com

The Last Broadcast writes songs; which is quite a feat being that these days most bands either try to copy their influences of the month or write songs with their t-shirt sales in mind.

On the Matthew EP, which is the first official realease from the band, each song is given care and given what the song needs rather than them forcing marketability into each song. The record's first song Matthew begins with mucho guitars and bells chiming which gives it a feeling of a heavier version of American Analog Set but then the song turns into a composition about Matthew Hutton, a friend of the band, who was recently diagnosed with Lou Gehrigs Disease and the proceeds of this record go to helping him and his family out.

You can sum up the whole record with the sound of singer Daniel smacking his lips preparing to begin the first verse on the song Survive. There is a rawness to this record which makes all of the great melodies even more memorable; like they worked each melody in and cared for it to make sure it didnt get lost in the moment. Its amazing that The Last Broadcast has accomplished a complete album of rich melodies and driving songs on an EP; a type of sound in four songs that so many bands cant accomplish on their third full length.
