The John Elway Vortex Experience started in the glorious year of 1995, a time when salute your shorts and moon shoes ruled our lives. In the uterus that was phipps' basement, a beast was spawning, a creature so intimidating that to look upon it would make a sane man, insane and an insane man shit himself. After a series of unsuccessful AIDS benefit concerts, TJEVE decided to quit their careers as a Journey cover band and start to write their own music, a desicion that would one day change the world. TJEVE is punching its way through the face of the experimental music scene. With retro carribean bass lines, drums that sound suspiciously like beating up homeless people, vocals reminiscant of the early Stanly Brothers (before they sold out), and guitar so epic it would put Chuck Norris to shame. The John Elway Vortex Experience is quickly becoming bigger than Christ himself.
