The Jeers is a two man band formed out of Bakersfield California. Everything creative about this band is shared, though Eric and Spencer don't really write together, they share song writing duties, singing duties, and there's almost always both of them playing guitar on a track. As far as how they work live, Eric plays guitar, the occational mandolin, and sings, and Spencer plays drums and sings. It's a bit of a different arrangement, but they make it work very well.

Eric's influences include: The White Stripes, The Monkeys, 31 Knots, The Decemberists, Barenaked Ladies, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Decompopsure, and many other powerpop bands

Spencer's influences include: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The White Stripes, Jet, Bloc Party, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, John Lee Hooker, Neil Young, Cream, and The Who
