What was the most important lesson you learned from your previous South By experiences? Are you looking forward to doing anything differently?: Last time I wasn’t aware that things would start so early in the day and end so late. This time I’ll just go down there and not expect to get normal sleep and just roll with it and see what happens.
What’s been your biggest accomplishment as a band so far?: We’ve been together for 10 years and have made 5 records and it’s still exciting. That far surpasses what I ever thought we’d do.
What’s the one piece of advice you would give a band embarking on their first South By Southwest this year?: Two things: First, don’t suck. Second, eat plenty of street pizza before bar crawling. It’ll save your night — and morning.
What’s the most important thing you’re packing in your suitcase?: For me, it is usually a toss up between toothbrush and iPhone.
