Brooklyn Vegan hosted some killer parties down in Austin this year, and we have a massive photo gallery capturing both their Official Showcase at Bar 96 and their Hotel Vegan at Hotel Vegas/Volstead. This photo gallery features performance shots of standouts Ceremony and Trash Talk, and also highlights the insane skateramp showcase that went down. The last day at South by Southwest saw two amazing parties from our very own PureVolume House. Bleeding Knees Club, Gauntlet Hair, Cymbals Eat Guitars, and more held down the day shows, while bands like Shiny Toy Guns, PK, Electric Touch, and more kept things jamming overnight and into the next morning. There’s so much going on at South By Southwest at any given moment that sometimes it’s easy to miss the little things. We made it a point to keep our eyes peeled for one of the most consistently entertaining (and sometimes cringe-worthy) party of the week–outrageous tattoos. Many are beautiful, some funny, some topical and we tried to get a range, from the classic ‘Mom’ to the more abstract (scissors?).
