The Hotshot Freight Train was formed in January 2005 from the remains of several Knoxville Tennessee based bands (Joey’s Loss, Atropos, and Atrium.)

The lineup includes Joshua Tipton (Lead Vocals), Greg Barker (Guitar and Vocals,) Mike Gentry (Bass Guitar,) Josh Hutson (Guitar,) and Caleb Tipton (Drums.)

THSFT’s style can be best summed up as rock, but the influences come from all different genres of music. Some bands that have influenced us are: Fugazi, Superdrag, Guided By Voices, Hot Water Music, …Trail of Dead, The Replacements, etc…

The group is currently writing/recording their first EP which will be available this spring.
