ABOUT THE HOLLOW SOUND:
The Hollow Sound began during the earliest months of 2005. Over the years they put together a handful of EPs, the most recent of which being The Life & Times of The Hollow Sound. Released in January 2009, it was produced by Rob Freeman (ex-Hidden In Plain View, producer of Hit The Lights, Armor For Sleep) and Mike Poorman (ex-Hot Rod Circuit, producer of Paulson, Therefore I Am, Piebald) at The Pilot Studio in Boonton, NJ and Strangeways Recording in Providence, RI. It was mastered by Gavin Lurssen (Copeland, Cartel, Elvis Costello) in Hollywood, CA.

In 2006 and 2007 they were invited to play the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City. 2008 found the band playing on The Van's Warped Tour and being nominated for an MTVU Woodie Award. 2009 brought some touring and a memorable performance at 2009's SXSW Music Festival. Also renowned producer Just Blaze (Jay-Z, Eminem, T.I.) hand-selected The Hollow Sound's track 'Of Arms & Ocean' to be included on the Guitar Center compilation Fresh Cuts Volume 3.

A four time finalist in MTVU's Best Music On Campus, the band was selected as the 2009 Grand Prize Winners and performed at Six Flags as part of MTV's VMA Tour. Their music has also been featured on the MTV series College Life.

March 2010 brought the release of the band's new single 'Panopticon,' produced by Matt Robnett (Four Year Strong, Valencia) at Big Sky Studios. The single comes as a predecessor to the band's debut full length, along with a soon to be released Acoustic EP. Currently they are at home recording their debut full-length album.

The band has shared the stage with All Time Low, Rookie Of The Year, The Matches, Kaddisfly, As Tall As Lions, Protest The Hero, The Audition, Charlotte Sometimes, Danger Radio, Dear & The Headlights, Steel Train, Forgive Durden, The Reign Of Kindo, Forever The Sickest Kids, The White Tie Affair and many more amazing bands.

RIYL: Death Cab For Cutie, Jimmy Eat World, Metric, Minus The Bear, Paramore, Rilo Kiley, The Decemberists
