Whisper To The Clouds

track 04 ... WHISPER TO THE CLOUDS

This song was inspired by the shootings that happened in Amish Country in the summer of 06. It's pretty disgusting but basically, an ordinary milkman lost his mind, ran into a school, lined up a bunch of girls and shot them. He then shot himself. I was REALLY bothered by it. There were more shootings right around that time, and there was a shooting attempt foiled down in South Jersey. Ya know, I'm not even against killing. Like if someone was trying to kill me, I would definitely try to kill them first. If someone physically hurt someone I loved and I had a weapon, I'd probably snap and who knows. But come the fuck on. ..........the other part of the song was to the families of the victims. The news makes it almost cool to do this shit in a way that they broadcast how bad it is to shoot someone and how its such a tragedy. When certain things are seen on TV, it doesn't seem like such a big deal because people are numb to it. The media should have SOME respect for personal shit. I almost regret recording the song for this very reason.

Lyrics-

Turn the TV off! You got another dead kid with a high school ring and its glorified all over the screen. What's with this world and its social horror scene? Look at me on NBC, I got a gun in my hand, I'll make the whole world understand how good this feels to cause a tragedy. Reporting live tonight, we paint this picture, oh, just right. The schoolhouse doors were blasted open wide: murder, suicide, 3 students died. There were 7 more down on the floor, there were a dozen little girls who begged the Lord, "Please let me survive!", as they were locked up inside. Won't it bring you down? This isn't over now. Your prayers are only whispers to the clouds. Youre crying oh so loud, and no one hears your sound, preparing for your journey to the ground. Memories of your babies, you'll never see, youre just pretending. You'll try, but its all you'll do. You never thought that this would happen to you. Turn the TV off, you got another dead kid with a high school ring and its glorified all over the screen. What's with this world and its social horror scenes? No matter what you do the pain comes to you.
