Out from the hills and sticks comes the Birdseye, Indiana based Rock Intensive Indie-Pop band, The Hiding. As tiny of a town as Birdseye is, youve probably never heard of it. To give you an idea, its about 2 inches from a sparrows butt. The Hiding, who definitively isnt hiding anymore, stems from a wide variety of musical influences like The Beatles, Third Eye Blind, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Muse, Neil Young and more.
Over the last few months, The Hiding has been pounding out songs to be included on their debut album due out late Summer 09. Neal, Bass guitarist for The Hiding says, The hardest part is narrowing down which songs will make the cut. The band has just started recording and will have a three song demo and merchandise available Mid-March 09.
Lets introduce you to the band. Holding the backbone and structured sound of The Hiding by handling the drums, percussion FX, and backing vocals is Eddy Peckinpaugh. Nothing short of intense on the bass and backing vocals is the main organizer of the band Neal Morgan. Beautifully filling any empty void with the keys and sweetly dressing the backing vocals is Leah Fischer. Lead vocalist and melody maker of The Hiding is Jace Allen, who also lays out all guitars and programming, in addition to engineering the band within his own studio.
All members of the band have vast musical backgrounds and in previous projects have shared the stage with many national acts such as Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, The Verve Pipe, Black Stone Cherry, Confederate Railroad and more. The members have also formerly taken part in numerous radio interviews, television appearances and long touring with many festivals and charity concerts included. Building on these past experiences, The Hiding looks forward to sharing their music with willing ears and hopes to make their mark with this newly created endeavor.
-God Bless
