San Francisco duo The Frail originally got their start much like the Postal Service, cited as one of their influences, sending eachother's songs over the internet and inevitably combining their efforts to create The Frail. Drawing from such influences as The Faint and Thom Yorke, The Frail create indie electronica characterized by vocalist Daniel Lannon's smooth falsetto vocals, and the production of Kevin Durr. Since their start in May 2007, The Frail has come a long way. Their debut demo ep Count On This (released on Tricycle Records) was well recieved with many taste makers in the industry like Scott Austin (Authentik Artists, a&r for Mavrick/Warner), Aaron Axelson (Live 105 music director), Mollie Moore (Atlantic), Michael Howe (Downtown Records), and many blogs across the web. In addition their song Count On This has made it to the top of Live 105's sound check radio charts, 12 on 88.3 The Jam the Phllipines one and only rock station beating out Avril Lavigne, Angels & Airwaves, Green Day, as well as winning the Red Bull viewers choice award for Owl Magazines Video Makes The Radio Star awards.

The Frail has been selling shows out in their hometown and abroad and has had the great honor of sharing the stage with bands such as Justice, CSS, Hot Chip, The DoDo's, The Foals, Sugarcult, Scissors For Lefty, Mike Relm, Goldfrapp, Tunng, Hollywood Undead, The Teenagers, Tv On The Radio, Aesop Rock, Chester French and more!! And visisting such festivals as The Bay Area Indie Music Festival, Noise Pop, The Treasure Island Music Festival, and The Amplify Music Festival.

2008 sees The Frail in a new light, with a new line up a bigger live show and a new release called The Firefly Ep well on it's way (Nov 15th) this band promises to bring bigger and better things than ever before. You can expect to see them at SXSW, Utah's Sundance Fest, as well as a US tour to support the new cd. So keep an ear out and be ready to catch The Frail's energetic live set real soon!
