The Expensives are an all girl pop/punk trio straight out of Philadelphia, PA. With vocalist/bassist Rachel Patterson, guitarist Fawn Linn, and drummer Ariel "Bean" Biener, they have managed to turn the Philadelphia music scene upside down. Although they may look like the average girl band, they are far from it. Sure, they may have the attitude and the in-your-face lyrics to match, but they have some distinguished attributes. "We put a lot of hard work and energy into crafting each and every one of our songs," says Rachel. "We want to break the mold that has been set for upcoming bands and to show that you don't have to have complex guitar solos and crazy drum lines to make incredible music. Sometimes, simpler is better." Over the past three years, The Expensives have played numerous gigs at The Trocadero Theater, located in downtown Philadelphia, and in other areas of the city. They are currently finishing up their debut album, titled Say What, due this Winter. They will also be featured on various compilation CDs that will be given out at this years' Warped tour. This band has emerged into the Philly music scene, providing catchy melodies and lyrics that people can't stop singing.
