Formed by Nikos Kilimentos, The Eternal Affect emerged from the tri-state area in 2008. Inspired by the masterpieces and musical compositions of Beethoven and Mozart, this sextet possesses a passion for integrating classical music influences with their appreciation of the Rock and Pop genres. The Eternal Affect composes songs that convey an ultimate message of hope. Through the use of conventional symbolism, the message is communicated implicitly for the sake of appealing to today's contemporary audience. The combination of super-emotional melodies, dual guitar harmonies, pounding drums, and romantic symphonies form an epic soundtrack with an "end of the world" listening experience.
In 2008, shortly after debuting their first EP titled "Deo Vindice", TEA was granted the privilege of playing several prestigious music festivals such as Warped Tour, Bamboozle, and Six Flags. In 2009, they performed nation wide after being selected to travel on The Extreme Tour. During The Extreme Tour, TEA was discovered by longtime music industry contributor and A&R scout Dana Piper, who later passed on TEA's EP into the hands of Jon Oliva, (Savatage mastermind and co-founder of Trans-Siberian Orchestra). Almost two years later, Jon Oliva and Christopher Kinder's (Drummer and Producer for Jon Oliva's Pain) pre-production for TEA's debut album has officially wrapped. With the addition of American Idol Top 60 Finalist, Casey Schuber, the TEA lineup is now complete. Without question, the affect these six young musicians will have on the present day landscape of mainstream music will be eternal. Chapter 1 forthcoming...
"I can't wait to unleash these guys into the world..."
-Jon Oliva / Trans-Siberian Orchestra
"The Eternal Affect is one of those hard-to-find bands. They do an excellent job at making great songs that the world demands, all the while telling the listeners about God. In a world like this with constant demands and expectations from the fans, The Eternal Affect meets up with the standards of society. From their song 'Tonight, I Was Alone' to 'Out of The Grave', they all express their gifts of music towards God. Overall 'The Eternal Affect' is an excellent band, and you should listen to them."
