The Dollyrots are one girl and two boys. They're a punk rock band but their CDs are very pop. Kelly is sugar sweet but mischevious and might sucker punch you if you're dumb enough to try her patience. Which she has a lot of, if she hasn't been visiting with her friends Jack, Jim or Jameson. She likes to do girl things like grow plants and sew up her t-shirts and crochet and make strawberry cakes. But, she also likes to play her basses til they are sprinkled with blood and drives soo fast she's not allowed behind the wheel and is getting really good with the balisong she stole from her boss who used it as a letter opener. She likes to get carsick reading and send postcards from the road so send her your address or favorite book (really!). Please don't send it if you don't want The Dollyrots knocking on your door next tour looking for a floor and a shower!
Then there is Luis... Luis is mysterious. And very smart. He is one of those guys who you meet and think maybe you'd join his cult. I hear he has his own religion, based on the Sun God so it's not really a stretch. Ask him about it sometime; he'll tell you about freaking that room full of people out while rambling about western religion while on some weird head trip. He is also known to get feisty when he's hungry or afraid he's getting sick. Which he seems to get all the time due to a combo weak immune system/paranoid disposition. He would like a dog when there's room for one on tour. A medium sized one like Snoopy, or maybe just a giant South American Sewage Rat.. It's really easy to get Luis to flinch, he's not crazy about people touching him. Maybe it's because he was abducted when he lived in Ecuador as a child. He likes good brit punk, music of the early 90's because it's honest and don't forget Chuck Berry and Patsy Cline. On the road he likes to read parts of books and stare out the window. He's good to talk to.
Chris Black grew up in the Midwest and moved to Los Angeles from Michigan. His first band was not The Dollyrots but we were tour pals and have shared a van, barf bags, and near death experiences across the US a couple of times already. He's an all around awesome dude. One way to his heart is food; he eats Mexican food at least once a day even if he's in Wisconsin and its covered in tater tots. He loves girls, a good truck stop, Dumb and Dumber, talk radio, and ninjas. Grew up on East Bay stuff like Fifteen, MTX, & ye olde Green Day. He met Phyllis Diller once and she said he looked like a young Elvis Presley. Talk to Chris, youll like him. The Dollyrots' latest album "Because I'm Awesome" is out on BLACKHEART RECORDS.

So we The Dollyrots are back from tour & just got done getting some much-needed chill timehad a RAD trip meeting new people and hanging out with old skool friends this past Fall..won the Indiana Punk Rock Night "Best Release of 2007" Award for which we are REALLY honored...saw a haunted hospital, the Hershey factory, & got a cheese-shaped antenna topper...and hey if youre new to the mailing list WELCOME!

Hey Baybees...
We've been on Warped Tour since Salt Lake City, and seeing as it's our last date in Houston tomorrow...quick update time!
So unfortunately today's show in Houston got rained out...we were understandably bummed BUT the weather was crazy & everything's been rescheduled for tomorrow INSIDE the football stadium. Gonna be neatO! Tomorrow's our last day before heading home to LA (Troubadour Jul 23) and then to NY (appearing on FUSE's THE SAUCE Jul 25) and then to... ANOTHER TOUR. Already, you ask? Yes! Of course. It's what we do.
And now... a Warped recap of sorts.
We have had a most awesome time on Warped this year! Joan Jett stopped by the San Antonio date to hang out with us, Girl in a Coma (our labelmate-ettes), and her fav kids on the stage/catering crew from last year. The bands we dig (Nothington, Gallows & Animo), Hot Topic Stage and more (Brooklyn, Rob, & all the good folks in production), Kevin Lyman, and YOU are the best! I'm not sure you guys can imagine how tough the tour is to pull off every day and how many people, working so well together, it takes to make it work. And after the day is done... somehow everyone still has the energy and guts to hang out together and consume pounds of veggie burgers and cases of Pabst. It really has been a blast, can't wait for next year!
I'm gonna try to catch some nighttime zzzs... a real anomaly lately!

Hi Hi Dollyrotten Punx!
Okay so were back from tour and in Los Angeles for the first time in a couple months! This time out on the road was particularly AWESOMEmet a bunch of new cutie/rockin/scary/sweet/feisty people all over the placegood bands and some cool new cities too..thanx to everyone who made these rock shows kewl & memorable!

Hey coolio boolios,
We have had quite a month!
SXSW was AMAZING! We got to meet our label mates The Vacancies and Girl In A Coma and they are the sweetest! We had too much fun together (drunk city!). Joan Jett said it was like a family reunion and we got to meet all the cousins! She and Kenny took us around in a Cadillac to do some press and she MC'd our show at Emo's which was crazy super cool! The grand finale was a bunch of us on stage playing "Do You Wanna Touch" and "I Love Rock n' Roll." Dreamy. We watched a bunch of cool bands too: Against Me, The Briefs, The Strange Boys and saw Amy Winehouse in our hotel lobby... bad-ass little chick with huge hair. Ask us to tell you the story of "The Great Rickshaw Race of '07" when you see us on the road!
So we got home from SXSW (after the van died AGAIN and we had to stay in the middle of TX at the hotel they filmed "Chainsaw Masacre" in, we didn't know it was FAKE blood until we left... ) just in time for the record release show and parteeeee! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! Go Betty Go rocked it and we had so much fun playing, and we premiered a rough cut of the video for "Because I'm Awesome" and then we had a dance party sing-along with The Donnas! Keg in the van, balloons, spray painting and Del Taco topped it all off. Beeee U TEF FULLLL!
So the video... it's going to be hilarious. We will probably get sued by American Idol and we can't wait to show you. Probably this week!
More tour dates coming! Can't wait to get on the road and see your filthy sweaty glittered faces!
