My name is Brian Graham. I am The Delaware Project.
The idea of the project was inspired by a Drop 19's album called Delaware. During my youth the album was a huge influence on me. In honor of that underrated record I decided to start this thing called The Delaware Project.
In the late 90's after my band The Naked Mary parted ways I released a 7" inch single. It was a huge step because it was just me writing the material. The single had two songs which featured artists Ric Lombardo (Engineer/Producer/The Glass Sun Theory) and John Clemente(Engineer/Producer/ Terminal One). After the release, life consumed me and The Delaware Project faded away.
In 2006, I found music again. I was found myself being inspired by my loved ones while they would sleep. I began to love music all over. I also began to understand that music is just music. It is a tool for expression. The good times and the bad times can all be expressed through this beautiful art form.
The Red Herring and My Infamous Ways is truly my first street. As time goes on the street will grow. I will get older and fade away. When life can no longer hold my spirit, this art will be all that is left of me. The songs on the record are just songs about life, struggles, feelings, and us. They are songs for us. It has truly been a long road from here and back.
