The Craving started out as an idea, and a purpose in the mind of, eclectic singer/songwriter, Brian Bingham and two close friends. Jaded by the lackluster commercialism that the music industry had become, came something different and something new, the band Something Else was born.

After time, Something Else was joined by song writer/guitarist Steve Phillips who was discovered having an element that tied the whole bands sound together with distinct tone and dynamic. This dubbed him as "the glue" and created a ladder for the band to continue to rise up ever since his addition. As you listen to this band you will soon realize that Steve is their motivation, desire, and flavor.

With the later loss of their bassist, they began a furious search to fill the gap. The band soon discovered the multi-talented Furious Joe Irvin, although he ended up taking the role of drums instead of bass. Joe is one of the great drummers of this generation. He adequately defines the term overflow. Through his talent and personality he shows what it is to give 110%. You ask Joe for greatness and he will give you perfection.

Kevan Anderson was the final addition to this formal for great music. His driving bass lines, influenced by funk and solid rock dynamic give the groove's backbone. Kevan's attitude and dry humor kept everyone smiling and satisfied while the journey of this band was underway in its entirety.

As Something Else blossomed into what it has now become, the input of these four members grew into something a little different. They decided that, although the name they had been known as described their purpose, they wanted to be known distinctly for what they bring to their listeners, a Craving to hear unique, fluid, and infectious music.

As you witness our creations you will discover that this truly is and will be one of the great bands of this generation. On the shoulders of giants we reach for greatness.
