Rock / Post Hardcore / Alternative
The Coming Weak has packed more experiences into their short existence than most bands do over the course of their entire career. They formed on a cold evening in December of 2006, and since that day, their engines have been set to "full speed ahead." In their short time as a band, they've taken their unique alternative/rock sound (think Anberlin/Bayside/Northstar) on a whirlwind rampage throughout the northeast, and are currently poised to spread their music to the rest of the country.
The five members of The Coming Weak - Tim White, vocals, 28; Johnathan Berard, drums, 27; Jeff Langmaid, bass, 27; Jamie Thomas, guitar, 26; and Matt Tremblay, guitar, 20 - have spent their lives living and breathing music, and this project is the end result of all those years of experience. Armed with experience, passion, and insatiable drive, they blasted through 2007. They made their debut three months after getting together and carefully crafting their original 3 song demo. This momentum helped the band play over two dozen shows over the next few months, sharing the stage with the likes of Amber Pacific, Rooney, Monty Are I, Hopesfall, The Junior Varsity, and many, many more.
In September of 2007, The Coming Weak headed in to the studio to record their debut EP. Michael Poorman (Ex-Hot Rod Circuit, Therefore I Am, Piebald, Paulson) helmed the project at his brand new Strangeways Recordings in Providence, Rhode Island. The result of three weeks in the studio was the 5-song Consider This, which was released on December 11th, 2007. The CD release show nearly sold out the esteemed Living Room in Providence and has set a precedent upon what is possible with hard work and careful song crafting. The band now has well over 40 shows under their belt playing venues as diverse as large rock clubs, VFW halls, and college festivals.
