Punk / Alternative / Ska
Pittsburgh punk rockers on AF Records. Energetic, in-your-face melodic riffs intertwined with positive politically and socially conscious messages.
The Code are influenced by many unlikely sources. Not only do ska and street punk show through in their lyrics and melodies, but also outside sources such as political rap groups and folk music can be noted says vocalist Marcdefiant. Though often compared to the sound of fellow Pittsburgh rockers Anti-Flag, The Code is rapidly progressing down their own, new path of positive politically and socially conscience messages. Fueled by the common blue-collar agenda well known to many Pittsburgh rock bands, The Code aims to raise and promote awareness in hopes of creating positive change with their progressive political punk and ska tunes. This band not only wants to entertain their audience but also strives to transfer their ideas and causes into the hearts and minds of punk rock fans wherever they go.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
