About The Canon Logic
Today's emerging music scene is, well...cluttered. In an otherwise stale sea of power chords and bands all cashing in on the same old formula, the scene would kill for a breath of fresh air. Enter Brooklyn's very own The Canon Logic...and a wave of harmony-drenched, poppy tunes. TCL sounds almost like something your parents would have listened to mashed with dance beats and harmonies even the Beach Boys would give a nod to. Taking cues from everyone from the Beatles to Radiohead to your old Casio's pre-packaged synth songs, The Canon Logic's sound is entirely refreshing and hauntingly familiar.
The Canon Logic was begun by University of Delaware students Tim Kiely and Josh Greenfield who recruited fellow alums Mark Alu and Mike Mignano, along with friend Sean Enright to fill out the ranks. Getting their start in Philadelphia and the surrounding region, The Canon Logic soon built a cultish online and regional fan-base before moving on to tackle New York. The band currently enjoys a sizable following, a good cross-section of which can be seen dancing like animals at any of their spirited LES and Brooklyn shows. The band recently released the White Balloon, a three song EP enhanced with live in-studio performances of additional material. They are currently in pre-production stages of their first full-length album.
