Meet The Crew
JIM PIERMARINI - Brew Publicist/Spellchecker
A lot of you may not know Jim, or even recognize his face...but don't worry, it's not your fault. He's usually lurking in the shadows by the bar or soundboard, or dancing so fast all you can see is a blur by the stage. Besides his constant cravings for popcorn and music, Jim has seductive powers with his GIANTumcamera. Nowadays Jim spends his spare time behind the camera at The Brew's shows, giving you wonderful fans the pleasure of seeing a show from the comfort of your home simply by watching The BrewTube on the web. Aside from this, Jim is the official Brew Publicist and "wordsmith" for the band. Having received a degree in English and one in Sociology from UMass Amherst, we always call on Jim when we need to know how to spell hard words like onomatopoeia (don't think we didn't call him on that one). Seriously though, with TWO degrees, you know this guy has read a lot of books. To this day, we're convinced he feels that Scientology by L. Ron Hubbard is the greatest thing ever written, but for some reason he always has books by Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson under his arm. So we figure he's got a thing for old people with long names. As our "smart guy," Jimi P writes up personal and band bios, one pagers for booking, distributes press releases for events, maintains The BrewTube (http://www.youtube.com/thebrew) and puts a lot of energy into making this very Brewsletter that you are reading right now! (Except this issue of Meet The Crew was hands off for him). Finding new and talented artists for Brew Merch, T-shirts and concert posters has become one of his most recent developments, so if anyone reading this thinks they got the chops, send an email to info@thebrew.biz and we'll be sure to check it out. He's currently working with several artists, some who have done a lot of work with bands that you already know and love, so many of you may recognize upcoming designs. Keep an eye on the merchandise that pops up in the near future.
If you should happen to see this guy at one or all of our shows, please feel free to offer him a drink because he truly deserves it and he loves good company. You'll probably find him kicking off the show with one (or two) vodka red bulls, but he's a big fan of top shelf tequila and dirty martinis..and we're talking dirty. Like, think of the filthiest thing you've ever done or witnessed and then multiply it by ten. That's how dirty he likes his martini. So what if he's particular about his drinking? If you've been to over 60 Phish shows, and 50 moe. shows, plus hundreds more, I'm sure you would know how you like to party too! So hook a brothah up, seriously. We love him.
At home, Jim gets caught playing his mandolin in the mirror, and more often than not, he's usually just wearing his Golden Girls T-shirt and a pair of knee high gym socks. He can't seem to remember any of the songs he learns, so he just kind of makes up his own. He's expected to hit the American Idol scene sometime in 2008. It's said that he performs in the spirit of Sanjaya. That tidbit of information doesn't make it all too difficult to believe that he sleeps with his '91 Gibson Les Paul Standard dreaming that he's Trey. It doesn't get played much, but it does get A LOT of action. You know what I mean.
So fans of The Brew, if you see Jim at a show and he happens to be behind a camera, just keep in mind that he's taping for The BrewTube and not Girls Gone Wild!
Quinn-crest out!
NEW videos up on The BrewTube: The Brew videos on YouTube

The Brew is currently putting together some behind the scenes footage, as well as unreleased concert footage to add to the site sometime in the coming weeks! Stay tuned to The BrewTube as you're never sure of what might pop up next! Your favorite song from a show you were at? A glimpse of the band that you've never seen before? Your badass self dancing at your favorite show?

The Brew Street Team
What is The Brew Street Team you ask?
It's a secret society of like-minded people just like you. It involves hanging posters, handing out demo discs and flyers, selling CDs to friends and relatives, and requesting the Brew on the radio, and so, so much more. To join, you need to be invited by another Team member. Then you go through a grueling ten-week initiation period in the Himalayans, where your soul and very being is tested to the max, and then you return to be voted upon. Actually, the process is not quite as weird as it sounds. In fact, your imagination and love for the music itself already makes you part of the Street Team! Shall you chose to officially embark on this rewarding adventure, we'll simply need your email address and contact info sent to us at streetteam@thebrew.biz. Once we're in contact you'll be an official member of the underground elite, allowing you to earn rewards of unspeakable value
Just sign up by sending us your Name, Address, Email Address, and Phone Number, and someone from the Brew Crew, most likely Quinn, will get back to you shortly! You can also submit your email address through the website at http://www.thebrew.biz
Brew Merchandise
The Brew merchandise situation has been a little bit lackluster, but that's all about to change. The Brew has been in direct contact with many artists to find the perfect designs for all of you, including work with a few artists who have done major work for bands like moe., and much more! Keep your eyes peeled to the merch table in the coming weeks for new t-shirt designs. Hopefully we'll have some limited edition concert posters available as well, and maybe some hats and other musically inclined paraphernalia soon! Feel free to drop by the merch table to make some requests or suggestions! Feedback helps keep your best interests in mind so 'the Crew is all ears!
The current lineup of Brew merchandise including t-shirts, albums, and DVDs can be found at: http://www.thebrew.biz/catalog/search_results.asp?txtsearchParamMan=ALL&txtsearchParamVen=ALL&txtFromSearch=fromSearch&txtsearchParamTxt=&txtsearchParamCat=ALL&txtsearchParamType=ALL&btnSearch.x=46&btnSearch.y=6
