We are The Benedict Affair and we are a young band from NW Iowa. We love our music and love playing live. If you want us to play near you, drop us a line and we will try and set something up.
We don't know what genre we fit into. Punk, Pop Punk, Emo, who gives a crap. Music is music. If you like us, you like us. If not, then not. Give give us a listen and then make your decision. We work very hard at what we do. We are also all in college so that is another wrench in our equation. Contact us. We love talking to people.

It has been about a year since we've posted on here. We suck. At checking our purevolume site, not at playing music. Anyways, things are going great. Tom quit the band and is now in another band but it's best for everybody we feel. We wrote a bunch of new stuff since our last blog. We released our first full length cd that has 14 songs on it. We are selling it for $10. If you want a copy, let us know. Contact us. We are planning on going into the studio again sometime within the year to record the new 12 to 14 songs that we have. We'll try to do better at keeping this updated.

Heres where we're at: We weren't entirely satisfied with the recordings we did over the summer so we decided to record at Cathouse, and master the songs that sounded good from the first recording. We will wrap up the final recordings in January and should have the CD out soon after that. Thanks everyone for your interest and for kicking us in the rear to get it done. Early January people. Sunday, June 25 at the Cyber Cafe in Le Mars, we are going to be opening for a band described (by Tom) as the best unsigned band on purevolume, and then i turned seven! this was stupid! not only are they signed, they also are second best! to the Benedict Affair! but seriously, this will be an awesome show, with Vinchie and Chris Tow opening things up before TBA and ATITS hit the stage. so come pack the cyber cafe (not difficult), $5 admission, and come rock with us!

Most unfortunately, we have sad news to report. Noah Adams has officially left the band. He was feeling to busy to continue. We have no hard feelings at all toward him. So basically, thanks Noah, you are a great guitarist, keep on rocking. We currently have no plans to replace him, Dave will just play guitar as of now, unless someone out there can change our minds...
