JASON BIOGRAPHY
In the early hours of June 10th, 1983 Jason Gregory Evigan was born. With his mother being a Broadway dancer and his father being an actor and musician, Jason was constantly exposed to the arts. At the age of 7 he found himself sitting in on his fatherâs studio sessions. Three years later he was proficient in both guitar and drums.
In 1993, after only three years of perfecting his musical skills, Jason was invited to sing the National Anthem in front of a sold-out arena at an Anaheim Mighty Ducks hockey game. For six years Jason honed his talent as a guitarist, drummer, pianist, and vocalist.
In 1997, at age 14, Jason formed Dillusion, a melodic rock band influenced by the Deftones, Rage Against the Machine, and others. Two years later Dillusion was selling out shows at numerous Hollywood venues, which attracted the attention of the Osbourne family.
In 2000 Dillusion was signed to Epic Records and was featured in MTVâs hit show The Osbournes. Their hit single, âMirror Image,â was featured on the gold-selling The Osbourne Family Album. It was then that Jason began studying Pro Tools and perfecting his production. Along with Casey Crescenzo, Jason produced and engineered Dillusionâs self-titled debut album.
Two years later Jason produced songs with recording artist Hoku, singer of âPerfect Dayâ from the Legally Blonde soundtrack, and Logan Mader of the bands Machinehead and Soulfly. After Dillusionâs breakup in 2002 Jason and Logan formed the new-metal influenced Stereo Black.
Only a year into Stereo Black, Jason realized that his calling was not as a member of a band but as a solo artist. Late each night, unbeknownst to those around him, Jason would lock himself in the studio and work on what is now known only as The After Midnight Project.
THE AFTERMIDNIGHT PROJECT BREAKDOWN
In 2003, finding influence in Cat Stevens, Kenna, Tool, and countless others, Jason Evigan created the After Midnight Project; writing, arranging, programming, and performing each track alone in his Los Angeles based home studio. Composed entirely on acoustic guitar and piano, A.M.P. fuses unique melodies with rock riffs. Each track is then dropped into Pro Tools where electronic elements, live drums, and introspective lyrics are added, resulting in a sound unlike any other. Welcome to the After Midnight Project.
