Biography
the3rddegree was originally formed in early 2007 and became a current member in June 2009. Before the rise of the3rddegree, Ryoji Yoshioka and Yuta Yoshiki performed together in a former band with other talented players and it is the seed of this band.
After current bassist, Motoyuki Takatera joined, they started the3rddegree and began writing their original materials. From that time, their sound has been some kind of death/thrash metal, but their early days are darker and more complex than now.
In 2008, they recorded one of their first materials, 'Chain of Betrayal' featuring Yuta as a vocalist. After recording of 'Chain of Betrayal', they performed at shows continuously and soon they began writing new materials.
Although their early pieces were typical the3rddegree sound, they wanted to give different directions on new ones. Their latest pieces are the reflections of the idea.
At the same time, new female vocalist, Yuko Matsuura joined and Yuta switched to drums which he originally played, the band became a current member. After Yuko joined, they began recording their 2nd demo, 'Pierce' while they continued to perform at shows.
Their latest pieces from 'Pierce' are somewhere between pure thrash metal and American hardcore.
