Electronica / Rock / Alternative
Hello. We are Temposhark. We've just finished recording our debut album with Sean McGhee (10 songs) and Guy Sigsworth (2 songs). We can't wait to share it with you in Spring 2008. It comes out in April (UK on Paper and Glue) or 25th March (USA/Canada on Defend Music/Ryko). To whet your appetite, we've just uploaded 3 brand new album tracks, 'Blame', 'Not That Big' and the new version of 'Joy'. Let us know your thoughts? Hope to see you at one of our gigs! We came over to the USA in March to perform live at SXSW 2007 and our first USA tour was in June 2007. IT WAS A RIOT!
For the last year and a half, we have run our own independent record label, Paper & Glue releasing limited edition singles. Visit us at: www.temposhark.com
Check out our two singles 'JOY' and 'IT'S BETTER TO HAVE LOVED' on iTunes worldwide now, with mixes from Guy Sigsworth, Avril, Cursor Miner and Metronomy - which also features vocals from cool singer Imogen Heap
Joy was our last single that came out in May 2006 as a limited edition CD single, 7" Vinyl (only 500 copies made!) and digital download.
BUY OUR 'JOY' SINGLE FROM HMV, AMAZON, iTunes or 7Digital NOW!
One of the best things about running our own label is approaching some of our biggest musical heroes to work with us. Our forthcoming debut album includes work with people like Guy Sigsworth (Madonna/Bjork), Avril (F Communications), Imogen Heap (Frou Frou) and Metronomy (Ladytron/Franz Ferdinand remixer). You should check all of their records out if you don't already know them!

Let us know what you think. People describe us in different ways - Dark Pop, Sassy Electro, Dub-Electro-Pop, Filmscore Chill Out and have been compared to people like Depeche Mode, Sparks, New Order and Pet Shop Boys. We've been playing live all over the UK but our main following is in London where you'll find us most of time in the club scene at nights like Nag Nag Nag, Electrogogo, Kashpoint and Computer Blue as well as rock venues Barfly, Cargo, 93 Feet East and Marquee.
We've been getting some cool reactions from the media. So far so good! ;) KCRW in Los Angeles are the first radio station in the USA to play our music, thanks Jason Bentley! In the UK we recently performed live for Tom Robinson's BBC Radio 6 show...
"Funktastic New Yoik punk sauciness from, um, London. NME
"The sassiest electro pop around as keyboards, soaring vocals and funky basslines collide." The Fly
Ace electro dub darlings." Time Out
