With the ending of Pale New Dawn, and a combination of extra time, and a desire to write, play and perform, 3 of its ex-members (Mike Emmons, Ryan Foglesong, and Mike Clark) came together in May of 2005 with a mix of ideas and concepts to pour into a new project. With the addition of good friends David Dorosh (formally in Dash Rendar) and Matt Dorrien from Missing Manchester, the new project materialized with a lineup and written songs. Though influences vary from member to member, Tear the Sails has a sound of its own.
