Members: ADAM GREENBERG (song writing, guitar, recording, everything internet), ZACH ROSEN (lyric writing, vocals, back-up vocals, bass, live piano)

acoustic emo with influences the likes of Dashboard Confessional (the acoustic factor) and Brand New (the amazing lyrics factor) that originated in a University of Miami dorm room (Walsh 716).

Adam plays guitar and Zach sings and plays bass. Check them out.

take it from the beginning and tell us how you guys started:
One glorious (like Blue) freshman year evening, Adam came back from the shower (seriously, this happened) to his dorm room to find Zach, a fellow Walsh 7 ("represent!" as they say) floor mate, scouring through his 200 book CD collection. "You're my new best friend!", exclaimed Zach. "Ok", Adam accepted.
A few days later, Zach asked Adam to listen to his song lyrics, ("Adam, hear me sing") and try to write a guitar part for it ("do you have music?"), with the hopes of starting a band.
By the wills of fate (or something), it just so happened that Adam did have music. He had a riff and the makings of a song ("Morning Dew", although not yet known), which he had written on his Martin OM-16GT late one night while his family was asleep during the summer of '03 sitting in a gray... yeah i guess you might call it gray (i'm colorblind, i don't know) swivel chair in the middle of his room on much more than one post-it note aided by only the light of an old Pentium 90 Desktop PC monitor while facing his closed closet doors (never slept with them open) and the vicinity of slightly WSW. Adam remembers this moment. He had hopes of adding the perfect words ("Yeah, I have music").

take it from "jigga what? jigga who?":
On October 8th, 2003, the two met in Zach's room (Walsh 716) for the first of what would become many jam "sessions". "Morning Dew" (not a Grateful Dead, Robert Plant, Incubus take-off (or anything) reference) became more than just Zach's poem on this very night with pretty much nothing changed from either bandmate's original piece; it was just a complete blending of the two... dinner and tournament... i mean song and prose; it was magical. The line "So hold the corners of my shirt" spawned the band name because when playing from the end of the song they would say to each other, "let's take it from 'so'." and then they'd say "hey that sounds like a band name"; that, and partly due to the lack of either of the guys' ability to come up with a cooler and more emo name. honest, I swear.

take it from ...so did they accomplish anything?:
Before Thanksgiving '03 and within two months of first meeting, Take It From So had written, recorded, mixed, produced and in effect, created the self-released 3 song raw debut demo entitled Always, not Forever on Adam's laptop in Zach's dorm room "studio" [image] using this free recording program, Cool Edit Pro 2.1 (which they got off the internet just like you can here).
Adam did not use his nice Martin; he recorded with his Mom's very old, banged up, hippy, yet soulful and unmodel numbered orchestral body Harmony guitar. We do not know what the album name means. They are always looking to play shows. Feel free to e-mail them at Chimp5@verizon.net for booking, to ask what "always, not forever" means, or just to say hi. They will respond (they have nothing better to do).

who are these guys, really?:
Adam is from Wantagh, NY. He was a "premed" bio major but then grew up and realized he didn't want to go (wasn't getting in) to med school, he thought about dental school, but changed to physical therapy. After deciding he does not want to massage the thighs of the elderly, he has again changed to double majors in psychology (because he analyzes everything & thinks of the weirdest shit; this fits him very well) and biology (because it was almost already finished, annoyingly), as well as a business minor (because business is indeed, in every decent professional setting). There was also a brief stint in computers, web design, photography and music.
Zach is from Fort Washington, PA. He has always been an English Lit major and is not as confused as Adam. Zach writes very well.

ok, so really, NOW, what are you guys doing?:
okay here's the story; since 2004, Zach has grown his hair out really jewfro-like [image] and transferred from Miami to FAU to Penn State.
Because of these reasons (as one might safely conclude) we have not played together in a while. We thought about the whole "record your shit over the internet and send it to me" thing, but we all know that never really went anywhere either.
Zach has been working on a solo project for quite some time called Your Yearbook Page. I wish him the best of luck ("I" being me, Adam).
Adam is still wallowing at Miami in the absence of Zach; trying to write and record in his free time (of which he has a lot of, but is not really "productive" with). He has since taken up the piano and enjois playing "Faithfully" // Journey and "Right Here Waiting" // Richard Marx. He also spells "enjoy" with an 'i'.
Hey if you're in the Coral Gables area and want to recruit him... IM him; he wants to play.

You two sound great together. I love music that is stripped bare and made to shown what it really is inside. The lyrics are very \"emo\", but the string arrangements are beautiufl. May 30
