SYN first gathered in december 2004 cursing the neighbour who called the police during every rehearsal, hence the name: "Smash Your Neighbor !". The band was created by Julien Gibon, Thibaut Metier and Yann Metier, it initially targeted an 80's metal music style until Florian Legros joined at drums. Since, SYN's musical style became more orientated towards thrash/hardcore, with heavy and agressive guitars, and fast, more technical drum rythms. This change of style led Yann Metier to leave the group at the end of the year 2005.
After the recording of a 5 track demo in April 2006, Maxime Legros joined the group as bassist. Then, SYN started to perform concerts in the north of France and recorded a 7 track EP with a better sound than the former.
In October 2006 Aurelien Schwalek joined the band as singer this contributed to the dynamism of SYN s performances. Today, Francois Noblecourt from Hengeyokais Prod. is in charge of managing and booking.
Frederic Wedeux (ex Gokstad) and Bertrand Oria (Dylath-Leen) joined the band during fall 2007.
SYN recorded their 1st album during summer 2007 at the IMAGINE AUDIO recording studio with Dimitri Dupire as sound engineer. Rémy Delier (Ahdden Team) mixed and mastered it on february 2008. "ROAD TO RUIN" is now available since April 2008.

SYN is ready to kick the ass of the French metal scene.
