symbion project is the ongoing musical adventure of kasson crooker.
more of a behind the scenes project, kasson has utilized symbion project as a musical escape from the more pop orientation of his other bands, freezepop (uber-blippy synthpop, www.freezepop.com) and splashdown (exotic electronic rock, http://www.myspace.com/splashdowntheband).
kasson is also a producer at the videogame company Harmonix Music who have made the games Guitar Hero 1 & 2 as well as most recently RockBand.

symbion project has evolved over time covering stlyes from techno/trance to drum'n'bass to ambient to down-tempo. symbion project has released 3 full length albums and a 4th is currently underway, along with remixes for bands like depeche mode, lamb, delerium, splashdown, and host of others.
symbion project was featured in two interactive music videogames for the PS2 FreQuency (2001) and Amplitude (2003). kasson has written music for many games under the additional names freezepop, dj hmx, komputer kontroller, and cosmonaut zero. for more on those games, visit www.harmonixmusic.com
