Sweetbriar is a throwback to old school bar bands such as Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band. Having played together in and around the Fredericksburg area for the past six years, Sweetbriar has developed a repertoire of popular songs that transcends the musical tastes of generations. With an emphasis on vocal harmonies, tight rhythms and blistering guitar solos, Sweetbriar has no agenda other than playing music that makes people want to party. With a catalogue of over fifty cover songs and an ever increasing body of original material, Sweetbriar can adapt its set-lists to the mood of both the audience and the environment.
