The SfaR project was born in summer 2007, Raven (vocals) and Cathouse (bass). In accordance with their ambitions, SfaR provides a sound influenced by Rock and Goth inspirited by the venerated Deathstars, Birthday Massacre, The 69 Eyes and Genitorturers.

The line up was first completed by Raph (Solo guitar) and Aveda (Rythmic guitar). Nils, who is also the leader of the band of the same name, joined the band. Nils introduced the drummer German to the band. The band’s identity evolutes with everyone’s contributions. Raph left the band and Nils took the part. Now with a firmly embedded line up, Sfar made their first concerts and appeared in the local press.

Sfar shows a strong visual identity, inspired by Gothic Rock and the Japanese Visual Kei, that gives them a careful aesthetic and a show devoted to satisfy the band’s scenic madness for the pleasure of everyone, actors and audience.

With a limitless creative enthusiasm, SfaR built their own universe. In December 2008 was also shot the video for the song Baby Goth Metal, a wink to musical styles appreciated by the band. In February 2009, after 6 months of tough work, the first EP “Secret” was released. It shows every aspect of the band, with sensual songs like Love My Cocaine or more melancholic like Following an Angel. The name Sfar, abbreviation of Swansong For A Raven, symbolizes this dark and fertile irony.

In June 2009, guitarist Nils decided to leave the band. Scars (Adrien Saenger), who recorded the lead guitar of the song Damned on the EP Secret took the place as a live guitarist, so the band can be still active while looking for a new guitarist.

In august 2009 Scars has become an official member.
