Sunday Morning Drive (SMD) is an ambient/avant-garde, jam-rock band hailing from Phoenix, Arizona. Singer/songwriter and front-man Josh Robinson leads the band in their vibrant blend of vocals and guitars. Drummer, Jesse Brown, lays the rhythmic foundation on drums. Musical performance renaissance man, David Cosand, mesmerizes the ears on his keys, and bassist, Mike Jones, thumps out at the bottom end. This group of 4 close friends came together to form Sunday Morning Drive in April of 2004. With the winter of 2004 came SMD's introduction to the local Phoenix, Arizona live music scene with countless shows over the course of the following two years. 2007 was a year of transition as a 10 month hiatus from playing live shows left time for frontman Josh Robinson to pursue personal song-writing projects along with some collaborations with keyboardist, David Cosand. By fall of 2007, performances were back on track. By 2008 plans were finalized to begin work on the band's first album. They currently continue work on that album project that is scheduled to drop summer of 2009. Sunday Morning Drive has played a multitude of venues and events across the state of Arizona.

Often compared to the Dave Matthews Band, Elliot Smith, the Doobie Brothers, and Jack Johnson (among others), Sunday Morning Drive holds to some of the same standards as these renowned artists: musical excellence, meaningful performances and poetic potency. If you haven't heard the music of Sunday Morning Drive or seen their live set you're missing out on an incredibly moving musical experience. Sunday Morning Drive prides itself in its musical and lyrical originality, playing many sets of over 3+ hours, consisting mostly of original songs. Sunday Morning Drive also plays a variety of covers including songs by the Marshall Tucker Band, Oasis, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dispatch, Dave Matthews Band, Goo Goo Dolls and even Outkast.
