Since its inception in April 2004, Summit Ave has become a well-established band, playing in the Twin Cities and throughout the Midwest. Summit Ave.s debut release, As I Am, features a sound that blends rock, pop, and blues and has sold over 2,000 copies. As I Am has earned play on over 200 college radio stations, charting on 30, and is being licensed by My Super Sweet Sixteen on MTV.
Summit Ave. has entertained crowds at nearly 250 shows and has played with Better Than Ezra, Pete Yorn, The Wallflowers, Blue Merle, Blessid Union of Souls, and Carbon Leaf. The band also played at Summerfest, the largest music festival in the world, in 2006, and shared the bill with Tom Petty, Pearl Jam, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steppenwolf, Everclear, Blue October, and Cowboy Mouth.
The band has performed live on KROC (Rochester) and has played Cities97 Acoustic Sunrise Live.

Just wanted to keep everyone updated on Summit Ave. We have been in the practicing mode for the past month or so and have just completed two new original songs. We can't wait for everyone to hear them. They are titled "Drive'' and "Overcome." So make it out to one of up and coming shows and tell us what you think.

Hey, everyone. Just wanted to give you all an update on what's been going on with us. We spent last weekend in Cedar Rapids, IA, an had a great time performing at Coe College. It was a nice turnout and a very attentive crowd.
As Jeff said in the last journal entry, we wrote a new song. We actually also finished another original last week. We hope that all of you can make it out to one of our upcoming shows and tell us what you think of them. We are very excited about these two songs and hope you all like them too.
