Since its inception in April 2004, Summit Ave has become a well-established band, playing in the Twin Cities and throughout the Midwest. Summit Ave.s debut release, As I Am, features a sound that blends rock, pop, and blues and has sold over 2,000 copies. As I Am has earned play on over 200 college radio stations, charting on 30, and is being licensed by My Super Sweet Sixteen on MTV.

Summit Ave. has entertained crowds at nearly 250 shows and has played with Better Than Ezra, Pete Yorn, The Wallflowers, Blue Merle, Blessid Union of Souls, and Carbon Leaf. The band also played at Summerfest, the largest music festival in the world, in 2006, and shared the bill with Tom Petty, Pearl Jam, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steppenwolf, Everclear, Blue October, and Cowboy Mouth.

The band has performed live on KROC (Rochester) and has played Cities97 Acoustic Sunrise Live.
