-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In a world of look, sound and speak-a-likes, Sucka Brown bucks the musical trend like a mechanical bull on speed, coupling tracks packed with soulful bounce and pop sensibility with a high energy live show that always gets the crowd moving and shaking. Formed in the latter days of 2003 and hell bent on planting their sound seeds in as many ears as possible, Sucka Brown hit the road playing over 150 club and college shows in their two years together. Along the way, they've shared the stage with such notable acts as: Reel Big Fish, American Hi-FI, Razel, Ryan Cabrera, Zox, State Radio, Averi, The Paranoid Social Club, Aberdeen City, and Gruvis Malt. In the fall of 2005, Sucka Brown released their first full-length, college chart topping album entitled "Extra Medium". So dont miss out on Sucka Brown, because if you do, you'll be the only Sucka around.

"The name conjures images of an undiscovered afro-bearing member of the Fat Albert gang. But dont be fooledthese guys are a fresh, upbeat rock outfit primed to turn heads with Extra Medium. This inaugural album showcases a unique blend of quirky, funky rock with a solid core of refreshingly bright lyrics and genuine talent. Enhanced by strikingly excellent production and infectious grooviness, this disc is sure to keep you humming and strutting, afro or not." - Rev. Daryl Litts, Altercation Magazine

All foliage aside, the fall, or perhaps you prefer autumn, is a beautiful time for Sucka Brown. Summer is over, college is in session, and the glass that is Sucka Brown's schedule is half full. All four of us are well rested, and ready to take this show and our new trailer on the road. While it's nice to catch up on some much needed rest, we get cranky when we're cooped up for too long.
We certainly enjoyed our summer, however, somewhere in between all the vacationing and the scattered shows, we found the time to begin writing new material. Now I'm not going as far as to say that there's a new album in the works, but if you come check us out live you MIGHT just hear some of that new material! One thing I can guarantee is that you'll definitely hear some oldies, and you'll certainly hear plenty from our latest album, "What Elephant?" If you don't have it yet, then you've already missed out on 5 months of solid listening time. I advise you not waste anymore time. It's perfect to hand out to trick or treaters. It's great background music for your family's Thanksgiving dinner. Suitable for days 1-8 during Hanukkah. And what better way to celebrate the birth of Christ than 10 energetic, groove laden tracks filled with singable hooks? We can't think of one.
New shows are posted, and will continue to be posted as we add them daily. Come check us out

So, we're back in the studio for the last three days of overdubs and I'd like to take this time to (hang on, lunch just got here...15 minutes later...ok, here we go) touch upon a few things that I have learned this time around.
1) Once opened, a sleeve of Chips Ahoy doesn't stand a chance against me, nor I against it.
2) Of the four members of SB, Todd's jeans are the tightest, Slowik's are the loosest while Scott and I fall somewhere in between
3) Cheap beer is cheaper than better beer for a reason but still good and kind of fun to drink
4) Do not dare talk back to Judge Mathis because he will make you cry on TV and then make you pay your friend the $87 you owe them for the phone bill
5) Anna Nicole Smith's death is apparently a bigger tragedy than the ill conceived military abortion we are currently waging in the Middle East
6) Daytime TV is geared towards two kinds of people: those with dangerously low IQ's and those looking to install a new basement or wood floor.
7) There are a lot of people on myspace who want you to watch them do things via webcam...so I hear.
8) There are a lot of bands with more friends than us...also hearsay.
9) SB's favorite channel is the History Channel with a second place tie between Discovery and ESPN
10) The dudes from the Click 5 (recording in the studio next to me) are very good at fooze ball and could beat us straight up but basketball is another story.

After much hemming and hawing followed by some more hawing and a wee bit extra hemming, we've decided to name our new album, "What Elephant?". For us, it brings the whole shabang full circle in terms of the lyrical content and overall message of the album. "What Elephant?" is also the name of one of the newer tracks on the album which we can't wait for you to hear. Keep an eye on our calendar for CD Release dates in a town near you this spring....
