StruckRoot is a four piece rock band from Sao Paulo, Brazil. The current lineup comprises Ricardo Dupret – Vocals, Andre Rahaman - Guitars, Moisés Brandão - Bass and Alex Oliveira on Drums.
The band was formed in Guyana (a country known mostly for the Jim Jones tragedy and located north of Brazil) March 2004 by Andre Rahaman. The original members consisted of Andre, Ricardo, drummer Jude Mendonca and bassist Romeo Yong.
Following the success of numerous live shows performing cover songs and developing a strong fan base within the local rock scene, StruckRoot began working on original material to help promote the band locally and record their first demo. The demo was recorded in June 2007 and includes the songs: Twisted World, The Passing and Purify.
After the departure of Jude and Romeo, the band went through several lineup changes before finally relocating to Sao Paulo, Brazil in January 2008. Through this period the band performed several festivals/gigs and also adding two other fulltime members to its fold. Alex Oliveira in November 2008 and Moisés Brandão in January 2009.
StruckRoot sounds like a mixture of grunge, punk, hardcore and classic rock. Influences of the band include Pink Floyd, Stone Temple Pilots, Tool, Faith No More, Neil Zaza, Alter Bridge and Metallica. The primary songwriters of the band are Andre Rahaman: music and arrangements and Ricardo Dupret: lyrics.
The band presently has 12 original songs and plan to record their first album in 2009.

StruckRoot é um quarteto de São Paulo, Brasil. Atualmente a banda é formado por Ricardo Dupret - vocais, Andre Rahaman – guitarras, Moisés Bandão – baixo e Alex Oliveira na bateria.
A banda foi formada em Guiana (um país muito conhecido pela tragédia de Jim Jones e se localiza no norte do Brasil.) em Março de 2004. Os membros originais eram Andre, Ricardo, o baterista Jude Mendonça e o baixista Romeo Yong.
Seguindo o sucesso de numerosos shows ao vivo, tocando covers e desenvolvendo um grande numero de fãs dentro da cena do rock. StruckRoot começou a trabalhar em material original para promover a banda localmente e gravar sua primeira demo. A demo foi gravada em 2007 e inclui as músicas: Twisted World, The Passing and Purify.
Após a demissão de Jude a Romeo, a banda passou por muitas mudanças de formação antes de se mudar para São Paulo, em Janeiro de 2008. Durante esse período a banda tocou em vários festivais/festas e também chamando definitivamente dois membros: Alex Oliveira em Novembro de 2008 e Moisés Brandão em Janeiro de 2009.
StruckRoot se parece como uma mistura de Grunge, Punk, Hard Core e rock clássico. As influencias da banda incluem Pink Floyd, Stone Temple Pilots, Tool, Faith no More, Neil Zaza, Alter Bridge e Metallica. Os principais compositores da banda são Andre Rahaman; música e arranjos e Ricardo; letras.
A banda atualmente tem 12 músicas originais e planejam gravar o primeiro álbum em 2009.
