Street Drum Corps

has been working together since 2004 to search for different sounds and make the world a better place according to co-founder Bobby Alt. Warped Tour chairman Kevin Lyman describes the group as a punk rock Stomp. Using both conventional and unusual instruments such as hand drums, acoustic drum kits, marching band equipment and a Moog Theremin along with household items like buckets, kitchenware and recycled aluminum garbage cans, Street Drum Corps certainly bring something unique to the table.

The great thing about Street Drum Corps is that it allows for experimentation, says Alt. It gives us the freedom to go off and jam. This project is very versatile. We can be a stand-alone band or an added percussion section to an existing band. Such versatility also allows for the participation of multiple guest musicians. In past performances, Street Drum Corps has enjoyed the company of members of STOMP, Atreyu, 30 Seconds To Mars, Strung Out, No Doubt, Bad Religion, and many others. Bert McCracken of The Used has performed with Street Drum Corps several times, and shares the stage with them for the song Flaco 81 as well as part of his own bands set on their current tour.

UPDATE 2.2.07

S.D.C. just returned from the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. S.D.C. was inducted into the Warped Tour Exhibit. The guys also performed the opening night event. The exhibit is open now till September 3, 2007. Be sure to check it out!
Once the six-month exhibit ends, these items will be put into a time capsule and stored at the museum for 25 years. The capsule will be opened during a special event in 2031 and then displayed for an additional six months.

S.D.C. REMIX CONTEST!
Due to great responses, the Remix contest will run for an additional 4 weeks. The Contest now ends March 1, 2007.

SDC SUMMER / FALL TOURING 2006

SDC will be touring the US with MATISYAHU September 3-20. Then SDC will make there 3rd year return to Six Flags Magic Mountain's "FRIGHT FEST" in Valencia, CA October 2006.

September 30, 2006 SDC will play Bar Sinister @ Boardners in Hollywood, CA (21+ Over).
