Stereofix are an American rock band that formed in Orange County who were first known as “The Spun”. Stereofix gained prominence with arresting vocal melodies; crafted guitar hooks, which are, described as combined music styles from new-wave 80s and 1990s with modern music, a band that constantly embraces new elements into their musical repertoire in every new project.

The group formed with Ray Alexander (Vocals) who started a rock band called the "The Spun" right out of high school, embarked by three chords and their first official band session in a local storage complex joined by Ray’s brother Kamren Alexander who played bass. Kamren was originally a guitar player but filled in the low end specifically for this project. The band quickly gained a following playing the local Orange County and Los Angeles circuit starting out at Ian Copeland's club, owner of the Backstage Cafe and one of music's top agent's. One year later less motivated members departed the band to pursue other interests and "The Spun" transformed. Kamren Alexander went back to his guitar playing roots. He started honing in on songwriting and tone crafting skills; Ray continued writing and creating melodies. The reformation of a new group started with Mark Allan, a co-worker of Ray who had been playing bass, unbeknownst to his singing work mate Ray, Mark, and Kamren didn't waste time booking studio time. The foundation of Stereofix was set when the trio placed an advert for a drummer in an O.C. newspaper and Myspace. After a few months and plenty interesting auditions, Anthony Hainsworth joined the group. Rigorous rehearsals commenced.

In 2006 the group released the second EP called "Stray” followed by the release of the EP "Life Starts Here" in 2007 which sold out at 500 copies of the demo while playing to audiences throughout Orange County, Los Angles, and Las Vegas.

In 2007 Stereofix went in the studio again to record their latest EP the "Warning Sign" which was recorded at Firehouse Studios and mixed by Mark Needham whose client list includes My Chemical Romance, The Killers and more. The band also worked with Joe Zook whose works include One Republic and Modest Mouse and many others. The EP was released early 2008 and is spreading with audiences, colleges and fans all over. In March the song "The Best Days” which is on the EP was nominated for Best Rock song at the 2008 Orange County Music Awards.

In 2008 Stereofix went to work along-side a couple of foundations the believed in by making appearances and performing at high profile events including The Playboy Mansion, The Key Club, and local events from which proceeds help support the efforts of U.S. Doctors for Africa who in partnership with Usher's New Look Foundation and Louisiana State University will establish new medical and mental health services and for Rock for MS, MSFriends who has established a powerful, high profile presence in three of the most important music and photography centers in this country: San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York. The Stereofix is also a strong supporter for a foundation called ACT Today with focus and awareness and support for kids with Autism.

With stunning songs in their arsenal of music, Stereofix is captivating audiences and growing popularity nationwide creating a most memorable and exciting live show experience. In 2009 Stereofix is being featured on various MTV soundtracks
