From the heart and mind of Stephen Mark Sarro, (Tantrum of the muse frontman), comes a completely different musical experience...

Over 2 years ago, Stephen set out to make the definitive "heavy" album using as little or no instruments as possible. Heavy? Your damn right, as Stephen shows us on his solo debut "Sympathy for the living" there is much heavier music than distortion and screaming, and you dont need instruments to make an interesting collection of songs. Here, Stephen composes an album, made completely out of improvisional recordings. Using just about anything lying around (ok some guitar and bass made it into the record) household items, food, sex toys, pets, spoken word, samples, programming, etc, etc...Sarro brings an overwhelming character study to compact disc. The album takes you through a vast spectrum of sounds, beginning with the nightmarish opener, that is literally an audio version of what it might be like to be in a coma, and not wake up, to the albums accapella ending, showcasing a beautiful side to what is Sarro's darkest hour caught on disc,Claiming that the record is "self expression, intended to be an art piece, and the farthest thing from rock and roll", the record manages to squeeze experimentation into a well crafted album. This album has been credited, by some, as Stephen's finest hour as well. It is without question, Stephen's most affective and potent album so far.
