Singer/songwriter/guitarist, STEEVAN MARS is a dynamic artist with a penchant for writing melody driven, catchy angst- filled pop songs with classic rock undertones and a modern edge. If The Eagles hung out with Death Cab for Cutie and Tom Petty wrote songs with Coldplay, it may sound like Steevan Mars.maybe not. Mars musical style is truly his own drawing on influences across the rock map from 60s British invasion to 70s LA rock to 80s/90s Alternative.

Steevan is currently booking solo-acoustic gigs and made his solo debut in NYC at the legendary Knitting Factory on Saturday August 5th to a packed house. A full band CD release party is being planned for the Fall 2006.

GRock Radio (106.3 FM) chose STEEVAN MARS as one of 5 finalists in their Underground Live Unsigned Artist Contest. Steevan performed with the other finalists at this years TomsRiverFest on Sunday July 30, 2006.

NJ Songwriters in the Round has selected Steevan as featured artist for an event this upcoming Fall at Maxwells in Hoboken, NJ.

The prestigious NYC Songwriters Circle has selected Steevan as a featured artist for an upcoming event at the Bitter End, NYC on March 5, 2007.
