Static Sun was founded by Jeremy Meyers and Sam Boes, two guys from the Chicago Suburbs who wanted to start an original reggae/funk/classic rock band while still covering some of their favorite songs. To do this, they grabbed the guitarist (Josh McGraw) and drummer (Luis Sanchez) from the Sublime cover band "Knowell" and got to work in Sam's garage. While the bands have played under several different titles, they are still the one, only, and original Static Sun.
Their goal is simple: Write music that's from the heart, is as original as it can get, and something you can chill out to, as well as playing one of the best shows you may ever see....for like, a couple months or so. Not too shabby for four poor white dudes from Illinois.
