State Of East London are an Australian metal band based in the South-Easter Suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, which started in early 2007. Not long after forming they headed into the studio to record their debut demo consisting of two tracks named; 'Jeff Goldblum: The Reluctant Hero' and 'Fake Chanel Does You No Good'. The tracks were not accepted as well as hoped but the band was not deterred and again the writing process commenced. After months of writing and finding new members, Josh (drums) and Marcel all the way from Germany (second vocals), SOEL hit the studio once again with the new line up to record their late 2007 demo with the tracks 'Shake It Like Harold Bishops Chin', 'Paste Of The Potion' and ‘Blasian Knee Dislocation'. These tracks gave back a much more positive response paving the way for SOEL to gain more shows and a larger fan base both local and international.

2008 came and with a bag of shows it was again time to start writing for their debut release. SOEL hit the studio once again to record a pre-production to their E.P. Again the track was received exceptionally well. With the completion of the e.p recording State Of East London are now searching for a record label to release their e.p with.
