Starship Shitface was started "for a laugh" by two like-minded musicians from the middle of nowhere, which for the sake of this is in North-West England...Lancashire to be more precise. The duo only managed to compose one (pretty awful) track in about 2 months, and since then it has been a one-man project. The tracks that are (fairly) frequently rotated on this site are the work of a skinny, lanky music nerd going by the name of Paul Rice.
The music itself can only be described as, well, not really normal music. Elements of post-rock, ambience, the odd frantic burst of noise, tight melodies and electronica seem to have been thrown carelessly into a blender that is quite frankly on it's last legs, shaken about and cut up a fair bit, then structured into instrumental pieces of music.
Doesn't that sound like a mess? A big, fat, sloppy mess.
