Yes, another update… Hello friends, We hope that you are doing well. Things here are going very well. I am going to attempt to keep this entry a little shorter than usual. For the sake of you possibly reading the entire message. We had a great weekend in Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana (traffic school) this weekend. On the way back we began to speak of what the future of Standing Small and its ministry might look like. It was a great talk, one in which we were all involved in. We have had this burden in our heads and hearts for the last little bit as far as recording our new material. We are very excited about the new songs that we have and are wanting to be extremely open to whatever God would have us to do with it. An opportunity has arisen and we have begun the stages of figuring out how and what it would look like to make this happen. The coolest part of the whole idea is that we will have to rely heavily on God in the situation. I don’t think we will be able to fully do what is expected of us without Him taking total control of the situation. Proverbs tells us that the heart devises a plan, but the Lord directs the steps. This is going to make full proof of that verse. Back to our talk. We also spoke of what the next little bit should look like. We have been traveling for nearly 2 ½ years. Playing anywhere that anyone would have us. We have given of our time, our energy, and certainly our money. Our friends, families, and my wife have been very supportive and very patient with us. We have missed some really important family things and have even made what some would call poor decisions to continue this ministry. Even when it did not appear to the four who are a part of this I believe it has always been with the sole purpose to spread the gospel. I say that because the closer you get to your neighbor, the better you get to know them. The more things you find out about them that totally do not glorify Christ. And maybe after 2 ½ years you realize that they are no different than you. And then, then grace comes through from brother to brother and Christ is glorified. I believe this is what is taking place with us. We are seeing that even though we will forsake Him for a piece of bread, we can and have returned to Him. Repented if you will. For the month of May we are hoping to rehearse in our practice space and really grow much tighter. Other than 3-4 shows we are going to stick it out in Knoxville, TN and focus on our music ministry. We are going to really make an effort to revive ourselves in joy and in mercy. Lord willing we will hit the road again in mid June and be ready to serve people with our hearts and then our hands. We don’t really have an issue with serving on the outside but maybe our hearts need a little attention. Without love we have nothing and have done nothing. Love is God. So without God, we are doing and have nothing. I pray that that right there resonates in our bodies. Reminds us what we are doing and who we are serving. When I say us, I mean anyone reading this as well as S.S. We really pray that you will keep us in mind during this time. We will totally be available to hang out and to share if you would like to. We are very thankful for your interest in what we are doing and we pray that if you have anything that we can lift up for you that you will take advantage of our prayer request forum on our pages.
