The initial sketches for the Swedish band Spoiler55's debut were drawn in their hometown Kristinehamn. A small town known in the biz for the legendary 70s-80s punk club Club Zebra. Club Zebra is actually one of the first (and few) places in Sweden where Sex Pistols performed.
Spoiler55 started of in 1991 under the name Search Party. Original song writing soon turned to covering other bands. A pretty common phenomena in the nineties when the demand for original bands where low in the region. Never the less, the cover song mixture of artists such as: DAD, The Alarm, Mission and Swedish punks Ebba Gron, earned the band the reputation of being a real party band. Actually two concerts where so chaotic that all rock bands where banned to play those venues for years to come.
Spoiler55 got back together in 2000 "just for the fun of playing". Jamming in a borrowed rehersalroom soon turned into new songs and demo tapes. The band took on the new name Spoiler, but had to change it (again) when that band name already was taken by a Swedish punkband from Stockholm. The "fifty-five" had to be added to the band name to prevent lawsuits!!!
The debut EP was release on the bands own recordlabel Milliway Recordings.
