Speria started in two different places. Jon and Caleb (Guitars and Vocals) had been playing and writing together for a few years, but could never find other like minded musicians to complete a full band. They did acoustic shows, and also wrote a base of songs that would become most of the first Speria EP.
At the same time, Aaron (Bass) and Kiel (Drums) were becoming more and more restless with their current musical endevors. Aaron had lost his job in early december of 2005, and out of a need to do something... (anything), decided to go hang out with Caleb and see if they could get a band going. One practice was all they needed. After passing on the acoustic demos to Kiel, it was mutually decided that this had to be a full time project! Since the begining, Speria has played a number of shows, recorded and released a four song CD called "Where I Belong," and has gone on a two month tour around the states.

Currently, we are writing a ton, and have just started recording a seven song cd which will be released on Subcat Records! We've also been hard at work on material for our full length! Plus, we are always doing random shows here and there! Check out our show listings and come out if you're in the area! ...And if it's an out of town show and you happen to have a place to stay and/or some warm food, we would greatly appreciate it!
We look forward to seeing all of you out there on the road... and also hearing from the the rest of you who can't make it...
