Spelling Contest is all about no-nonsense, honest songwriting, and raw mix of sound. We're 5 guys that have been together for more or less 10 years, which leads us to realize that good songs (some we've been keeping for 4-5 years) are naturally timeless. We're grounded on pop and rock roots, but mainly inspired by Filipino alternative rock of the 90's (Eraserheads, Rivermaya, etc.).

On and off time from dayjobs and stuff, the band has been working on 10 fully arranged originals at the studio for over a year now, and about a dozen other songs that are already on our trusty notebooks waiting for a steady beat.

We're currently looking for a good manager, so feel free to contact us if you're up for it.
