Adrift in a sea of pretense and fashion, and coming from a scene where the moves outdo the jams, south of no north has tried their damndest to revive the idea that it might be ok to be in it for the music. Hailing from, Newbury Park, a small suburb of Los Angeles, Cody, Luke, Rob, and Trevor just don't see the problem in having fun with this. While throwbacks to 90's punk bands such as Jawbreaker, Samiam and Face to Face are somewhat evident, the band has earned comparisons to contemporary acts such as Against Me!, Hot Water Music, etc.. In a nutshell, the band is four best friends who just want to play some rock and roll.
