Everyone knows Lapeer County, Michigan. Terry Nichols, one of the Oklahoma City bombers, was born and raised there. Dr. Death himself, Jack Kevorkian, is dying in prison there. Even Jesus lives there.

Next in line for world domination is Lapeer's own SOURpuppet, the hard rock band that's sweeping across the internet. Formed in 2003 by Matt Johnston, the band's lineup has undergone a few changes since inception, ending up with the perfect lineup: Matt Johnston on vocals, Tom Utley on guitar, local legend Goat on bass, and Ben Hodges on drums.
Using the internet as a powerful means of promotion, the band has garnered fans from all over the globe, with their website receiving hundreds of thousands hits per month. From their exposure online, the band's 2005 release 'Preservation' has been shipped to fans all over the U.S., in addition to fans in Canada and several European countries. SOURpuppet has performed at many legendary Michigan venues, such as Harpos in Detroit and the Machine Shop in Flint, as well as regular shows at Flint's Local 432 and an east-coast tour in the summer of 2005.
